Devlog 4

I have decided to create a color palette for my game and limit myself to only use that for any colors, alpha not withholding. A while back I saw a video on OKLAB. What it is I cannot explain well, but it arranges the colors in a way so that when you move along the hue the perceived brightness of the colors in the color palette remain the same.  So I chose a color thing of 75% in Oklch which you can see here: https://oklch-palette.vercel.app/#75,0.13,360,100. Honestly I have no idea what any of it means. I just like the colors it generates.

Of course if I were to use the entire 360 range of hue I might as well not choose any palette at all. So I divided it in 16 equal parts which is the amount that csp has for its color sets. All in all it gives me 16 * 10 colors and I added in some grey, black, and white.

The next step is to use this palette. So here is my player character with the chosen colors. It's a huge difference to the version yesterday especially after cleaning up the lineart and adding a bit of shading. I haven't decided yet if I am going to hand animate it or if it's going to be bone animation so depending on that a couple of things will change. But for now here is my character:
